The United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) is making history with the appointment of the first woman to be its command sergeant major.

Command Sgt. Maj. JoAnn Naumann, the current senior enlisted advisor for Special Operations – Korea, will be appointed on Monday. Naumann entered the Army in 1996 as an Arabic linguist; she has served for 27 years.
